Junior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Durban KwaZulu Natal

Position & Responsibilities
Position: Junior Quantity Surveyor
Primary responsibilities:
-
Compiling and interpreting rates, BOQs, material lists, quotes, building descriptions
-
Procurement and better buying.
-
Reconciliations and reports on project viability via careful tracking and measurement of labour, material, plant and overhead costs.
-
Accurate measurement of site and drawings.
-
Construction contractual letter drafting. EOTs, NODs, VOs etc.
-
Provide administrative support and assist in the smooth operation of the construction site and office.

Assist in the preparation and distribution of various tender documents and project-related
-
documents, such as drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Prepare and process various project-related paperwork, including purchase orders, invoices, and payment requests.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Site Manager or supervisor that are necessary for the successful operation of the construction site.
Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities:

Managing an office or reception area

Being the main point of contact for personnel within the company and external parties

Greeting clients and customers and fielding enquiries in person or by phone

Managing the correspondence and communications of the organisation such as phone calls, post and emails

Bookkeeping, record-keeping or data entry into financial, personnel and legal databases and records

Maintenance and organisation of company records

Scheduling of meetings and appointments within the company and the arrangement of refreshments and other corporate catering

Management and supervision of other administrative personnel

Oversight of office inventory, including ensuring an adequate supply of consumables, such as stationery or printer ink
